	Rats and Mice Different species of rats, such as the Roof Rat, will live in attics while "warfrats" prefer tunnels in the ground.  Rodents damage property and food.  The contaminate food and dishes with droppings, urine trails and fur.  They also have a tendency to nibble and thus damage food products, building materials, and wiring in attics.  Mice are very curious and will explore new objects they come across.  Rats are shy around new objects so they can be more difficult to control than mice.
